Bio:
I’m a woman in my 40s who spends a significant amount of time working. While I genuinely love what I do and feel grateful for a long and rewarding career, it hasn’t always left much room for a vibrant social life.
What I do value deeply, though, are the moments that remind us of the magic of human connection, love, and celebration. The idea of witnessing that kind of joy by attending someone’s wedding feels exciting and meaningful to me.
Ironically, traditional wedding invitations have often given me anxiety because of the expectations, the social obligations, and the logistics of navigating rooms full of people who I know. But the idea of attending as an invited guest without “being known” and the pressures of existing relationships feels refreshing and strangely freeing.
To simply celebrate a couple’s union, share in the happiness of that time and space, and to connect with people in a more open and organic way feels more aligned with this season of my life.
